Abstract

Generative AI systems such as ChatGPT and Midjourney are transforming how we create, learn, and innovate yet the responsible use of these technologies often remains an afterthought. In this talk, I will explore how responsible practices and prompting, as an interaction modality, can be integrated to unlock the full potential of GenAI while mitigating risks. Then I will unpack the core principles of prompting, analyze common patterns, misconceptions, show its connection with computational thinking, and highlight why human expertise and domain knowledge remain indispensable. Finally, I discuss how these insights extend to the design of next-generation AI-powered systems.
